After breakfast at the Hotel you will depart on a full day Cape Peninsula and Winelands tour. You will travel along the Atlantic Seaboard, to Hout Bay. From Hout Bay, travel to Noordhoek and through Ou Kaapse Weg.
Proceed to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you are able to ride the funicular to the viewpoint where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
The Cape Peninsula is the thin finger of land in the south-western most corner of Africa with the city of Cape Town at its head.
As you travel south toward Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, the land gets narrower until the great Indian and Atlantic Oceans combine into one vast southern ocean, with nothing beyond except Antarctica. On leaving the Nature Reserve, proceed to Simonstown.
You will continue on the Wineland tour. This classic tour takes you through spectacular vineyard covered valleys and along scenic country roads. During the course of the afternoon you will visit Franschhoek, first settled by the French Huguenots in 1688.
You will make a stop in Stellenbosch, the second oldest European settlement in South Africa, which has some of the best preserved historical buildings in South Africa. The scenery is combined with two wine tastings, a cellar tour and the opportunity to purchase some local wines.

The Zimbali Lodge is a stunning boutique Hotel, nestled in lush, sub-tropical indigenous forest just 26 miles north of Durban. The name Zimbali is Zulu for'Valley of Flowers', and is an apt description of the estate on which the Lodge is located. Set in a haven of natural lakes and wetlands, the estate is a protected reserve and is home to a variety of wildlife, from magnificent butterflies to beautiful antelope and many species of birds.
Every luxurious bedroom at Zimbali opens onto a private, furnished balcony offering sweeping views down the valley to the sea. Hand-carved mahogany beds, ornate armoires and ceilings clad in sisal matting are all reminiscent of the baronial homes of sugar magnates from years gone by. So rich is the detailing, the bedside lamps are never the same in any given-suite and air vents are carved scenes of Africa. The splendid bathrooms feature freestanding Victorian bathtubs and separate showers. Falling asleep at night to the crashing of waves is a sheer delight.
